David is from a small town in downstate Illinois where his passion of metaphysics, literature and philosophy intertwines with his love of poetry.
In 1990 he attended a welcoming event for Nelson Mandela held at the Sports Arena in Los Angeles California.
There he witnessed and heard his amazing testimony of his journey through civil rights, civil disobedience, and his incarceration at Robbins Island in his homeland!
His words were so inspirational and delivered in such a profound heart felt way that upon arriving home from the event he wrote the first poem called… “Mandela’s Tear!”
Created in 1990 Here is an excerpt… “I am Mandela’s Tear…the manifested pain of millions before me…I am the tear…turned spear! I am rendering, exploding, slicing away the causes within…that transformed my being, from the holy water of the body…to the Holy Spear of Justice! I am Mandela’s Tear…Warrior
