Maca Root Powder (Red) – 4oz

Our organic raw red maca is our best-selling maca. It comes from 100% pink and light red maca roots, among the rarest colors of maca root. Most people find its flavor sweeter, gentler, and milder than cream or black maca.

Maca (Lepidium meyenii) is a root vegetable in the cabbage family, grown at high altitudes in the Andes mountains of Peru. Our red maca is grown traditionally near Junín, Peru, then sun-dried, carefully processed, and packaged. Raw and vegan, with nothing added: only 100% red maca root powder.

Traditional Use: Maca has been cultivated in the Peruvian Andes for over 2,000 years, where it was prized and traded, and the roots are traditionally eaten roasted, cooked into porridges, and made into a fermented drink.

Suggested use: Mix 1 tablespoon into juice, yogurt, oatmeal, or your favorite smoothie.
