Bladderwrack (Fucus vesiculosus) is a brown seaweed that grows along rocky coastlines of the North Atlantic, named for the small air-filled “bladders” that help it float. It is dried and finely ground into an olive-brown powder with a salty, briny, ocean flavor, used in small amounts as a seasoning.
Traditional Use: Bladderwrack has long been gathered along the coasts of Ireland, Scotland, and Brittany, where it was added to soups and stews as a sea vegetable.
Ingredients: Organic bladderwrack powder (Fucus vesiculosus).
